Opened in 1985 and proud to be the only Rare Breed Survival Trust approved City Farm in the East Midlands, Gorse Hill City Farm was created by a group of 30 city residents who had taken on the management of the overgrown allotments that once stood on site.
Now a brilliant day out for the whole family, the farm provides a wide range of facilities for visitors of all ages and is wheelchair accessible.
Adventure outdoors on swings, slides and play frames before meeting over one hundred farm animals, with the chance to feed lots of them.
Don’t forget to stop for lunch in The Farmer’s Hut Café!
From meeting some of the 100+ animals Gorse Hill has on site, to channelling your inner Tarzan on the swings and slides on the outdoor play, animal days out don’t get much better than Gorse Hill!
