Winner of ‘Best Large Visitor Attraction’ in the 2019 Devon Tourism Awards, treat your family to Devon’s friendliest day out at family owned attraction, Pennywell Farm. We’re just 12 miles from Torbay, nestled in glorious countryside on the edge of Dartmoor.
With a full day of fun guaranteed, there are animals, activities, rides, shows and displays for all the family to enjoy. Hundreds of farm animals including goats, sheep, highland cattle, alpacas and deer, plus a whole host of Pennywell pets are waiting to meet you.
Pennywell is also home to the world famous Pennywell miniature pigs and is the only place where you can enjoy genuine Pennywell piggy cuddles. If that isn’t enough, every day at 2.30pm you can experience the phenomenon that is miniature pig racing and cheer on your favourite pint-sized porker. Who will triumph over Bacon’s Brook?
New for 2020 is the Pennywell Miniature Pony and Donkey Centre where you can wander into the paddocks and cuddle our delightful family of miniature donkeys or groom our pint sized ponies. After your miniature experience you can meet the mighty heavy horses, Duke and Duchess along with their new friend Connery. Connery has literally come from the Palace to Pennywell as he was part of the Household Cavalry for 22 years. He’s now enjoying a right, royal retirement at the farm.
There’s acres of indoor space to picnic and play as well as a commando course, maze, tractor village and toddler play farm. If the little ones have some excess energy to burn, Noah’s Barn has 3 giant bouncy castles and there are trampolines dotted around the farm. Crazy golf is included in the admission price as well as four farm rides; The Rainbow Railway, Run Rabbit Go Carts, Red Rocket and Tractor and Trailer.
Pennywell is the original home of the half hourly activity. Join in with bottle feeding goat kids, calves and lambs, take a goat for a walk, try navigating a pig around our pig agility course, collect freshly laid eggs or be a guest at a pet’s party. There is something new to do every 30 minutes.
Pond dipping is always popular and you can help yourself to a net and bowl to see what you can find living beneath the surface of the Pennywell ponds. If fishing is more your thing, bring along your fishing rod and see if you can catch a tiddler in the fishponds, a really tranquil area of the farm.
Hungry farmers will love our Café with plenty of local produce, hot and cold meals, snacks and tempting treats. There are several coffee stops including our Coffee Cabin where you enjoy a Barista coffee or our takeaway in Noah’s Barn where you can grab a drink, snack or an ice cream while the children enjoy the indoor play.
A day at Pennywell is great value and when the weather decides to turn a little bit ‘British’ we will give you a FREE return ticket to visit us again within 7 days if it rains while you are here. Put a spring in your step and a smile on your face as you discover why Pennywell Farm is amongst the top 20 farm attractions in the UK, in a list compiled by TripAdvisor Media Group.
On your day out at the farm with the kids, don’t miss cuddles with the world famous Pennywell Miniature Pigs!
