Almond Valley

Set on the side of the river Almond lies Almond Valley, this Heritage Centre is the only Rare Breed Survival Trust in Scotland. The furry residents at Mill Farm range from a great big Clydesdale horse to a teeny tiny mouse. You’re able to get up close with all their farmyard friends on this animal day out, why not take a walk with an Alpaca or feed rare budgies?

There are no shortages of play space for your little ones to run off all that energy. Why not play hide and seek in the woods and greenery plus jump high on their Nutty Bouncer (giant pillow). If that’s not all, hang on tight in the Subterranean Sledges and explore the exciting Oilshale Adventure Zone too. You won’t be disappointed when taking a family day out to Almond Valley!

Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre

Situated in Perth and Kinross, Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre is home to over 40 different species of adorable farmyard friends and exotic wildlife and is the perfect day out on the farm. Are you keen to see chicks, rabbits, guinea pigs and tortoises? Head over to their Hatchery to get involved.

Want a game of football or badminton or to balance on logs and brave the climbing wall? They have so many outdoor activities for all ages, plus if the weather isn’t looking great – they also have an indoor play barn where there is so much to discover!

Active Kids Adventure Park

Set in the heart of rural Perthshire, Active Kids Adventure Park offers a unique experience in the great outdoors, with numerous activities for the whole family to enjoy. From peddle powered go karts and jelly belly pillows to exploring lots of activities on an 18m Pirate Ship.

Wynford Farm Park

Wynford Farm Park, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, AB15 8RQ


Set just 20 minutes outside the city of Aberdeen, Wynford Farm Park has a whole range of activities and farmyard friends to discover this May and June.

Meet lots of adorable animals including pigs, goats, ferrets, alpacas and even meerkats. Also get up close to nature in their Twisty River, pretend to be a farmer in their REAL old Farm Tractors and reach for the sky on their bouncing pillows.

They also have lots of indoor areas to explore, including the role play village and soft play area. If all that play is working up an appetite, why not have a refreshment in their café too at this fantastic Scottish family farm?

Mabie Farm Park

Mabie Ct, Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway, DG2 9QD

Nestled beneath the spectacular Mabie Forest is a family fun farm day out for all ages! Explore the fields where you’re able to see their larger farmyard friends such as Shetland Ponies, Belted Galloways, Welsh Cob Horses as well as Kune Kune Pigs. Inside their animal barn, visit the calves, pot bellied pigs and other mother animals and their offspring.
