Windmill Farm Park

Situated just 9.19 miles outside of Leicester lies Windmill Farm Park, a great day out for all the family. This working family farm houses over 20 different breeds of farm animals in the vast 10,000ft² of outdoor space. Some of the daily activities and things to do occurring at Windmill Farm Park include cuddling cuties in their Cuddle Corner, helping feed the guinea pigs using a fishing rod plus being a spectator on the goat racing. They also have a fantastic new timber-based adventure play for the little ones to burn off all their energy


Gorse Hill City Farm

Located in the fantastic Surrey countryside, there’s something on offer for all ages at Bocketts Farm Park. Being the only Rare Breed Survival Trust approved City Farm in the East Midlands, Gorse Hill City Farm is worth a visit. What once was an overgrown allotment in 1985, this city farm hosts over 100 animals for you to meet and greet. This children’s petting farm allows your little ones to get up close and personal with the smaller inhabitants, including bunnies and guinea pigs. This is the perfect well-rounded educational and sensory experience. Also, look out for the Manx Loaghtan, Castlemilk Moorit sheep, Shetland cattle, Middle White pigs, Aylesbury ducks and Golden Guernsey goats, which are all rare or native breeds.

Manor Farm Park & Woodlands

A mere 4.09 miles outside of Leicestershire is Manor Farm Park, this family farm is situated in over 25 acres of countryside with over 20 different animals to see. Get up and close to birds of prey, including 40 owls in Hoots Hollow. You can also meet some of their smaller friends, including rabbits, guinea pigs, parrots and even snakes! Don’t miss a ride on one of their dashing donkeys at the Donkey Paddock.

Stonebridge City Farm

Close by to Leicestershire in Nottingham is Stonebridge City Farm, this urban farm is a local charity that offers safe spaces for families and the community to enjoy themselves. Get yourself and the family ready to meet their farmyard cuties. In the Barn, you can see animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs, but it’s also home to 15-year-old Kevin the tortoise.
